Wonderful Summer Evening

The funnest thing I did all Summer was going to an outdoor movie at Redhook Brewery with the kids.  We saw the movie Zootopia.  We got there early, got dinner, had our faces painted, played some games, hung out with some scary reptiles, ran around with a friend from camp. Being outside on a Summer evening on a picnic blanket with the kids made me SO happy!  Lynn and Colesen came but unfortunately Camden didn't make it because he wouldn't walk.  He scraped his knee and refused to walk on that leg for a few days (even though it was totally fine to walk on).  :)

Colesen up close with an alligator (or crocodile, I don't know the difference).  He doesn't look scared at all!

This huge turtle was walking around everywhere before the movie started.  I guess they weren't worried about it running away.

Keaton is suppose to be "Owlette" from PJ Mask. Nolan is the Lion Guard.  Both are cartoons.

Lunch date

I asked Keaton what he wanted to do on his last day before he started Kindergarten.  He said he wanted to get candy at the "check out section" at the store and bring one to Camden.  The crazy and over-priced candy that they have right before you pay for your stuff.  The star wars lightsaber lollypop, candy in a baby bottle, ring pops, Frozen movie candy necklaces, etc. The stuff I never get them.  I suggested we go out to lunch also.  It was a special lunch knowing I will have such limited time with Keaton now.  I am looking forward to the one-on-one time I will get with Nolan!

First's for both the boys

They are off to conquer the world!
September 9, 2016 was Keaton's first Day of Kindergarten at Cottage Lake Elementary School.  His teacher's name is Mrs Talbott.  The day went great for him! I am so happy for him and really hope he loves school!

Nolan was pretty confused on Keaton's first day and wanted his backpack and his sign and thought he was going to school also.

A few days later Nolan started preschool at the Woodinville Country Day School.  I wasn't able to be there on his first day but dad did a good job and got a great first day picture!  Nolan's teacher's are Mrs. Lisa and Mrs. Shaila.  I am excited for him to have something that is his own (something his brother isn't part of).  He needs to bring 3 special things to school on Monday, I wonder what he will choose...

The Summer of Gatorade and Camden

The kids spent a lot of time with my friend Lynn's son Camden this Summer.  Lynn had a new baby, Colesen, this Summer so she's been very adventurous with us!  Very early in the Summer we were somewhere with Camden and he had Gatorade....and that started the massive hysteria around our house.  My kids wanted it and they wanted it constantly!  The Gatorade also caused lots of problems.  Keaton wanted to drink it out of the bottle.  It was a very big deal to him.  But Nolan couldn't so they had to drink it out of cups with tops on them "baby cups."  I can't even count the millions of times we talked about the container the Gatorade would be drank out of.  I remember one time when Nolan was being bad and Keaton saying "if Nolan goes to time out can I have Gatorade out of the bottle."  It was the talk of the Summer!

We had so much fun with Camden this Summer! He was like a brother to my kids!  Colesen was pretty awesome too and hung out with us on all our adventures and didn't cry a bit!

We had picnics!

We went to the zoo (unfortunately since they acted like brothers Nolan was the youngest and did get picked on sometimes).

We went to the Pacific Science Center where we saw a 3-D Imax movie and the Lego exhibit.

We made cake and learned about how colors can change into other colors.  We also learned that with Gatorade.  Blue Gatorade into a red cup makes it purple.  They did learn a few things this Summer.

We went swimming a lot!

We went to the movie, Zootopia, at a winery and Lynn brought McDonald's.  They were definitly popular with the other kids.

The kids had professional pictures taken for Lynn's work (orthodontics office) so they may appear in the brochures and pictures on the walls if they make the cut.

I love how Camden usually has his arms crossed in pictures looking mad! It is so funny since I know he's having fun!  It's something a brother would do.
