Crazy K!

All kids have their own personality with their own unique quirks....I wanted to capture some of Keaton's so I wouldn't forget them.  Kids say and do the craziest stuff and so far I'm constantly amazed.

Keaton's new thing is "pooping" in the pantry.  It happens almost every day.  He goes in there (where we store all our food, how nice) and shuts the door and does his thing. If I ask him what he's doing in there he tells me.  If I try to come in he gets very mad.  Guess the kid likes privacy.

When Keaton gets stickers at the grocery store he will put them all over his legs on the drive home.  Only his legs....no where else.

He also likes to get his stamps from preschool on his tummy...around his belly button.  All the other kids get theirs on their hands.

He loves wearing women's shoes....specifically mommy's shoes.  There have been several tantrums because I don't let him leave the house wearing my shoes...there have also been tantrums over me not letting him drive my car....he is so anxious to grow up!

And yes, he still loves to dance and sing all day long...mostly to adult music...he's over the kiddy stuff...except at preschool where he is always first kid waiting for dance music.  He told me he wanted to dance with Manny last week, I told him he'd have to teach Manny how to dance :).

Speaking of Manny, Keaton sure does love that dog. Loves to wake up Manny in the morning and bring him blankets, take him for walks, put stickers on his back, tickle his ears...pretty much likes to include him in everything he does...I don't think he realizes Manny is a little different than him, a dog.

Sleeping bag....his obsession with his sleeping bag has brought so much fun but also caused so much frustration.  It has "disappeared" for the time being because Mommy and Daddy (mostly Daddy) just don't have the energy to drag him around in it right now.

Keaton is "All Boy" liking anything with wheels and an engine, especially garbage trucks at the moment....and still loves motorcycles "sockies".   Likes stomping in mud puddles.  Using his hammer/saw/drill just like Daddy. Finding ants, snails, flies, etc. etc.  But when it comes to cartoons he is more into the girly shows. He has finally gotten bored of the Bubble Guppies (still loves the books) but now loves Dora the Explorer.

Likes to ride the "Alligator".  It took me forever to figure out what this was but it's riding the "Elevator."

There are so many things that I am forgetting but these are a few that come to mind at the moment.

PS, just remembered another...he loves taking showers now!  I can't even remember the last time he took a bath. And yes, Keaton does sing in the shower :).

Row, Row, Row Your Boat...

We went over to Eastern Washington for a few days with Grandpa Morgan to get some sunshine.  We stayed in Moses Lake and went to Sun Lakes and the Potholes.  I hadn't been on a trip with Keaton in quite awhile so I had no idea how it would go....but he was fantastic!  Slept on the drive over/back and was able to keep himself entertained by spotting all the giant windmills they now have that generate energy from the wind.  I am always amazed at the things he sees while we are driving...he can spot an airplane way up in the sky that I can barely even see.

He also did really well in the hotel and slept better than he does at home!  I didn't know if he would stay in a pack n play since he's in a bed now, but he did.

Grandpa brought his inflatable kayak and Keaton hopped right in with him and started singing "row, row, row your boat...." I figured it would take awhile to get him comfortable in it but he thought it was pretty cool right away.  Pretty cool for about 5 minutes until he was ready to move onto the next thing....such a short attention span.

We got to go swimming each night and I'm pretty sure Keaton thinks he knows how to swim.  He was a little too confident jumping off the side of the pool by himself.  Being this comfortable and confident around water makes him a hard guy to keep safe in the pool.  I think it's time for us to sign up for swim lessons....

Of course there were tractors in Eastern Washington and Keaton was quick to point them out when we drove past them...and quick to ride them too.

Keaton definitely tired himself out because he slept until 8am the next day when we got back.  He NEVER sleeps in that late.

Buried Alive...Almost!

We are having exceptionally great weather in May so far.  We decided to take advantage of it and go down to Alki Beach.  It is so close to our house but for some reason we don't go there nearly enough, something we need to change.

Keaton was having fun playing in the sand and found another kid to play with.  That kid started covering his legs in the sand so Keaton did the same.

Then that kid's dad came over and completely buried him in the sand.  Keaton thought that was pretty cool so the kid buried Keaton.

He is up to his chin in sand!  When we got home we found sand in so many places it shouldn't be!!
