Scholarly Student?

Nolan looks like he's in Kindergarten practicing his letters instead of in the "Little Explorer's 3's class" at Woodinville Country Day School.  Maybe he will skip ahead and start Kindergarten  next year if he keeps this up.

Right now he tells me in a grumpy voice that he "did nothing at school" and when I ask him if he likes it he says "no" in a grumpy voice.  He also says he cries because his mommy leaves him.  I know he doesn't cry because the teachers tell me this.  And I know he has fun because his teacher's share pictures of him having fun at school.  But I don't think he's quite ready to skip ahead yet (although he does love to do homework)!

Party Party!!!!!

It's the eve of Halloween and we have been celebrating for days now.  Two trips to the pumpkin patch, 2 parties at Nolan's school, party at Keaton's school, party at Kirkland Community Center, party at YMCA, 2 trunk-or-treat parties.  We have some tired kids!  Luckily they don't get sugar "high's" and can eat a bunch of candy and then fall asleep.  So the later nights out partying haven't been too bad.

Pumpkin Patch Muck

We have had so much ran the past month that the pumpkin patches are full of standing water and mud so the visits were messy but fun!
Nolan's school had a field trip to The Farm at Swan Trails in Snohomish.  It was a very wet, rainy day but we made the best of it and got to explore a really great place that we had never been to before.  Nolan also learned that wearing nylon pants on the slide in the hay maze is a bad idea (he went flying off the slide and was screaming).

We came back on the weekend with Keaton and it was a beautiful sunny day!   There was a lot more activities open on the weekend and we ended up spending most of the day there.
Their favorite was a giant bouncy thing.  Nolan had the biggest smile the entire time he was on it.

They tried to pan for gold and Keaton thought he found some.  But when we got home he looked at the rocks again and decided they weren't gold, they were brown.

Keaton got to pick out a pumpkin (Nolan got one last time). The only rule was that you had to carry it.

Everyone was so hot and tired we barely made it back to the car.  We were nearly there when Keaton stepped in some thick mud and lost his boot and was standing in the mud in his sock.  He looked like he was about to burst into tears.  I thought it was really funny because of the look on his face and laughed so hard.  He finally decided it was funny too and then got really mad at me for taking a picture of his sock.

Look like Brother's?

Do they look like brother's? Keaton's appearance has changed a lot, wonder what Nolan will look like in a few more years.

School pictures at 3 years old (or almost 3)

Grampy Visits

Grampy came to visit a few weeks ago and it was wonderful!  He spent the week helping TJ put a new furnace into our house which I am so grateful for.  I will definitely get lots of use out of it.  The best part was seeing the kids spending time with him. They were so confused when they woke up and Grampy was gone (especially Nolan).   It was a crazy, chaotic week which is what I'm using as an excuse for not taking any pictures.  I realized the day after he left and was SO disappointed I didn't take any.  Luckily TJ got a few!!!!!!!!

Grampy and the kids in Halloween costumes!

Before I knew TJ had a picture I was planning on making a picture with Grampy and the kids.
This is what I came up with.  REALLY BAD!    And the picture was originally taken in Massachusetts :)

Having Fun

He decided to take the band aids out of his backpack and put them all over his face.  I don't know why.

Halloween always comes early at our house.  These guys love wearing costumes!  Nolan is Iron Man from The Avengers.  He has no idea who that is but wanted the costume.

I had to fill out this form for Nolan's school so they could get to know him better.

Group picture with our new "selfie stick" that my friend got me.
It's a metal stick that holds your phone so you can take pictures of yourself.

Wonderful Summer Evening

The funnest thing I did all Summer was going to an outdoor movie at Redhook Brewery with the kids.  We saw the movie Zootopia.  We got there early, got dinner, had our faces painted, played some games, hung out with some scary reptiles, ran around with a friend from camp. Being outside on a Summer evening on a picnic blanket with the kids made me SO happy!  Lynn and Colesen came but unfortunately Camden didn't make it because he wouldn't walk.  He scraped his knee and refused to walk on that leg for a few days (even though it was totally fine to walk on).  :)

Colesen up close with an alligator (or crocodile, I don't know the difference).  He doesn't look scared at all!

This huge turtle was walking around everywhere before the movie started.  I guess they weren't worried about it running away.

Keaton is suppose to be "Owlette" from PJ Mask. Nolan is the Lion Guard.  Both are cartoons.
