Pigs, sheep, Cows, Bunnies, etc.

We went with Grandpa to Kelsey Creek farm in Bellevue where they have sheep, cows, bunnies, chickens, horses and pigs.  Nolan was SO excited, running all over talking and pointing like crazy.
So we thought it would be fun to go to the zoo.  Keaton has been to the zoo a few times and his favorite animal is always the horse on the carousel. That was his favorite this time too!  The tractor is probably his second favorite thing to see.  Nolan didn't get really excited about the animals either.  It was still a really fun afternoon and a great place for the kids to run wild!

Easter

My favorite part of Easter this year was going to an Easter party with ONLY Nolan.  We went while Keaton was at preschool.  I barely ever do anything with just Nolan so it was special. We kept it a secret from big brother.

It's become a tradition to go to the Easter egg hunt at the Thriftway grocery store down the street.  They hid 35,000 eggs this year.

Surprises from the Easter bunny.

It was great to have daddy back on Easter day!  We did an Easter egg hunt with him!

All about Nolan

Nolan's a hard one to get pictures of since he's always moving so they are blurry.  This is one of my favorite pictures of Nolan.  This guy is almost always smiling and being goofy.  Yesterday he was bending his juice cup back so the apple juice was shooting out.  He thought it was so funny, laughing over and over.  He also thinks spitting is pretty funny.  He doesn't think it's funny when I take him off the couch, standing on the couch is one of his favorite things.

Pointing is also one of his favorite things right now.  He points and says "ball."  Ball is the only word that I recognize him saying and he says it a lot.

Nolan looking crazy with a pirate sword and golf club and shiny necklace.

The boys do have a lot of fun together, lots of fun!!

All about Keaton

I have a lot more pictures of Keaton than I do of Nolan.  So I thought I'd share a few...

Kids are crazy, he just decided one morning to put this crazy wetsuit on along with a mask.

We've got a grocery store that has kid size grocery carts.  I use to avoid them because they were a nightmare. Keaton crashing into people, stuff in store. Once he had a cart full of groceries and dumped it over in the front of the store.
He is now really good with them and a good helper.

Keaton started soccer a few weeks ago.  The whole thing is a lot more serious than I expected for a team of 4 year olds.  His first game wasn't good.  He grabbed the ball during the game and was told he couldn't use his hands so he started crying. Then he refused to play for most of the game so we watched.  Then he fell off the bleachers, basically doing a somersault. So we  left with him screaming in my arms.  We went out for a donut after and decided that we would have a donut after each game.  That made it all better.

Happy 4th Birthday Keaton

Happy 4th Birthday Keaton!
We remember the night you were born like it was yesterday.  Over the past 4 years you have turned into a happy, goofy, imaginative boy who likes tape, scissors and Nolan.  Your a perfectionist with big ideas.

We love you Keaton!!

I think you must have stayed out late the night before partying because you look pretty tired.

Looking forward to sharing year 4 with you and all the fun exciting things that will happen!!

Christmas 2014

Christmas is a vague memory since I'm doing this a week late.  A week doesn't seem long but we have been busy so it's hard to remember it all.

We did the usual: Visited Santa, saw the giant light display at a house in West Seattle, went to church on Christmas Eve, decorated cookies, decorated a ginger bread house, made ornaments for the tree... and I can't remember the rest but we did more.

I found it to be hard to keep the magic of Santa a secret.  Almost all the gifts came in mail so Keaton was always questioning why we were getting so many packages.  TJ brought a package home and left it on the front porch so Keaton got a delivery.  It was a tape dispenser which was a bit hit.  Keaton also noticed one of Nolan's gifts in the garage but was too distracted Christmas day to remember.

Becky and Kids came visit between Christmas and New Years.  The kids were crazy and Keaton was all packed ready to go home with them.

I'm pretty sure Nolan had no idea what was going on.  And of course Manny thought every gift was for him on Christmas morning (just like every year).

TJ and I barely survived due to the "train table" disaster and last minute purchase at Toys r Us.

Best gifts: Rachel's orange suit and TJ's Christmas tie.

Nolan's One

The big news in November was Nolan's 1st Birthday. And he was walking well at 1 year so we better include that since everyone always asks.
It is crazy that we have a little toddler already. I guess that's what he is since he's definitely not a baby anymore.

He's a happy, silly guy that makes our family complete.

Here is our wonderful little 1 year old.

They say the days go by slow but the years go by fast.  They sure do.  Look how this guy has changed.  He's changed so much that we do joke that he may have been switched at one of his first doctor's appointments.

Oh and it snowed in November. That was exciting too!!
